About us

Dessa Consult is a Brazilian private enterprise owned by Dutch engineers (M.Sc. Agricultural University of Wageningen, The Netherlands).

The company is specialized in plant nutrition in tropical and subtropical regions; irrigation management; micro-climate and disease control through management practices.

Dessa Consult has in-house laboratory facilities and represents over 12 years of intensive field and laboratory research put to practice.

Dessa Consult acquires, processes and evaluates data on plant production. Integrating and applying knowledge of plant physiology, plant nutrition, irrigation, micro-climate and reactions and defence mechanisms of plants and pathogens, we diagnose production problems, separating primary from secondary causes. In this way, we provide practical and effective strategies to achieve optimal plant health and productivity.

Dessa Consult was founded in October 1998. Aimed at intensive production in the fields of flori- and horticulture, Dessa Consult offers reference values for well over 500 cultures planted in soil, pot soil and hydroponic solution. Interpretation of plant leaf analysis based on our data base of reference values is another important and sought-after service. Plant leaf analysis directly reflects plant health and possible growth impediments, be it nutrient deficiency, intoxication or adverse micro-climate conditions.

Our objective is to define the most practical and efficient strategy for obtaining a healthy and optimally productive crop by providing a more complete and better insight of what happens in the production of plants.
